Billy D. Washington - Aug 6, 7
“Low-key intensity and dead on humor” is how the Denver Post described Billy D. Washington. His clever but quirky approach combined with his undeniable skill as a pianist has made Washington a formidable force in the world of stand-up. After a 5-year stint as a Houston Police Officer, he followed his heart, took to the stage and has since assembled an impressive body of work for this part-time church musician and full-time national headliner. Billy has been featured at the prestigious Montreal Comedy Festival twice, Aspen Comedy Festival and for 3 years traveled with The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, as her opening act. He has also appeared on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and spent time on VH-1 as a host and on-air personality. He is the creator of the critically acclaimed S.E.L.L.O.U.T. Comedy Tour, a group of talented black comedians who challenge America to resolve racial differences one joke at a time.
Rob Little - Aug 13, 14
Rob Little’s outlook on life can be summed-up in two words: Pure Optimism. At a young age, he developed and nurtured an upbeat philosophy about life. "In elementary school, kids would always pull food away from me at lunchtime saying mean, hurtful things like… ’Let go of my sandwich!’" Fortunately, Rob’s ability to see things in a positive light, coupled with his desire to make people laugh, has served him well. While working in a lucrative position as a computer programmer for IBM, he decided to take a huge risk. The Detroit-born comic sent out an ALL-company e-mail that read "If you aren’t happy here, quit your job and follow your dream." IBM promptly gave him his walking papers, but getting fired was a blessing for Rob and comedy lovers nationwide. He now enjoys an incredibly successful career as a standup comedian and with an impressive and growing portfolio of television and film appearances, he is quickly earning national recognition.Watch Rob in action, and you’ll agree that he is one of the very best stand-up comedians in the country. A sketch comedy player on the Fox Sports Net Show, The Best Damn Sports Show Period and Last Call with Carson Daly, Little uses his training from the world famous Second City Comedy Club to create routines that are inventive, funny, spontaneous, and completely unique. He headlines clubs and colleges all over the country, has appeared in national television commercials and on such shows as Strictly Sex with Dr. Drew, Comedy Central’s Distraction, Fox News and SiTV’s Latino Laugh Festival. He also earned a role on the CBS network summer hit series, Fire me Please. Rob’s recently released 2nd comedy DVD/CD, Haulin’ Ass, is another testament to his talent and status as a comedic force.
Having established himself as one of the funniest, most progressive, new comedians in the country, it’s easy to understand why entertainment bookers call him "The Future of comedy with more contagious energy than the Energizer Bunny". The Detroit Free press selected him as Michigan’s “Best up and Coming Comedian”, and he earned the title of “finalist” in both the Seattle and San Francisco International Comedy Competitions. Rob was also selected as a feature performer at the Chicago Comedy Festival along with the Boston Comedy and Movie Festival. And in 2007 Rob was named Maxim Magazine’s “Real Man of Comedy”.
Don’t let the "Little" name fool you. Little is BIG! But that has never slowed him down. "Yeah, I’m big, and all my relatives are too. Heck, we just got our family portrait done by aerial photography. And there are only three of us." The truth is, Rob is big in more ways than one. With a grin on his face, a gleam in his eye, and a passion for comedy that is larger than life, he’s the biggest thing to happen to comedy in a long, long time.
Christopher 'Kid' Reid - Aug 20, 21
Christopher Reid, formerly known as "Kid", is an African American actor, comedian and former rapper. He graduated from the prestigious Bronx High School of Science in 1982. He is best known as one-half of late-80s/early-90s hip hop musical act Kid 'n Play with fellow rapper/actor Christopher "Play" Martin. Reid was particularly notable for his extreme hi-top fade hairstyle. On The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, he mentioned that he is the son of a Jamaican father and an Irish mother. Reid has appeared on a number of television programs, including Martin and Sister, Sister, and has also served as the host of amateur contest shows such as Your Big Break and It's Showtime at the Apollo. Reid's most recent musical contribution has been to HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher, having written the theme song.

Fresh off his third appearance on Conan O’Brien, Shane Mauss is quickly becoming a television regular. Originally from La Crosse, Wisconsin, Shane Mauss moved to Boston in 2004 (at the supple, tender age of 23) to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a stand-up comedian, having no idea how quickly things would happen for him.Shane caught his big break when he was awarded Best Stand-Up Comic at HBO’s prestigious US Comedy Arts Festival in 2007. Since that short time ago, he has had eight TV appearances. They include a stand out performance on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, Showtime’s Comics Without Borders, two appearances on BBC’s The World Stands Up, The Playboy Channel’s Night Calls, and regular appearances on The Bob and Tom Radio Show and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Shane is widely considered one of the best young national headliners in the business.
Jimmy Shubert - Sept 3, 4
It was Jimmy's scene-stealing performance as the lollipop-sucking strip club bouncer in Columbia Pictures' Go, directed by Doug Liman (Swingers), that jump-started his film career in 1999. Since that auspicious debut, he has landed several roles in films such as Jerry Bruckheimer's Coyote Ugly, Fox Searchlight Pictures' One Hour Photo, starring Robin Williams, The Italian Job starring Charlize Theron, Ed Norton, and Mark Walhberg, and Mr & Mrs. Smith, from 20th Century Fox, starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Audiences are more than simply spectators—Brian casts them as co-stars.He has been an MC at the world famous Comedy Store and a regular member of the Comedy Store Players Improv group with Robin Williams, Andy Garcia, Jonathan Winters and Lucy Webb, and is now a comedy favorite at colleges and nightclubs throughout the country.
Since his development as a comedian he has also starred Broadway in the revival of Grease as the DJ Vince Fontaine, where he received fabulous reviews. He has appeared in over 20 sitcoms, six films, and is currently the spokesperson for the new Sweet and Low syrup product line.
Tom Rhodes - Sept 16, 17
It is his biological function to make people laugh and forget about their problems. It started when he was a boy when his parents argued ferociously he would act silly or say absurd things and there would be peace in their house for a brief period. It has been his dream to be a stand-up comedian since he was 12. And with a fake ID, he started when he was 17 and have done no other job since. His hands are as soft as a baby's bottom for lack of hard labor in his life. He's been luckier than most having his own sitcom on NBC and hosting his own late night talk show in Amsterdam for 2 years. He thinks nothing is more powerful than the written word and monumental ideas for world solutions expressed through comedy. He believes that all we have in this world is the art we leave behind after we are dead, and that no other measurement can sum up a life's worth. He believes it's also possible to change someone's life for the better by just showing them a drop of kindness. His goal in life is to make people piss their pants with laughter. Stay Free.
Jim Jeffries - Sept 18 (Rated RRR, May Be Offensive)
Australian born Jim Jeffries is a headline performer in countries including USA, Canada, India, Bahrain, Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, South Africa, Sweden, Singapore, Dubai, Norway, France, Holland and the UK. Regarded as one of comedy’s fastest rising stars for stage and screen, his brash confrontational style has made him one of the most sought after comics on the world stage. Jim succeeds with jokes that most comedians wouldn’t touch with an ability to both charm and offend the crowd in equal measure. In 2005 Jim wowed audiences at The Montreal Just for Laughs Festival where he performed in the highly acclaimed Nasty Show and garnered one of the biggest press articles at the festival and was asked to return back in 2007 with his solo show The Second Coming which sold out every night and had ticket touts selling his tickets at 3 times face value. Last year (2007) Jim turned 30 and it wasn’t an easy year. He has narrowly avoided bombs in Iraq (where he was performing), punched in the face at The Comedy Store in Manchester (with the video clip being seen by over 8 million people over the Internet). If that’s not enough he also had a cancerous tumor removed from his penis and this year notoriously took on the Obsournes.
Off the back of two very successful Montreal and Edinburgh shows Jim is now touring the US (LA, San Francisco, Kansas City, Miami, Arlington, Chicago, Boston, Sacramento, Cleveland, Philadelphia and also opened for Dennis Leary at the 2800-capacity Beacon Theatre during the New York Comedy Festival).
It’s not all about live work though. Jim is in demand for TV and panel TV shows alike and you can catch Jim on Have I Got News For You (BBC1 & 2) Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC2), Comedy Cuts 1 & 2 (ITV2) and Comedy Blue (Paramount). You can catch Jim hosting the US NME Awards.
